From the Brooklyn Navy Yard back to Newport
After growing up on Aquidneck Island, Cam Crockford spent a decade in New York City, where he founded Cam Crockford Studio, a design and fabrication studio in the Brooklyn Navy Yard.
Working alongside some of the country's most respected architecture and interior design firms, Cam built custom furnishings and architectural elements for discerning clients. The work demanded an exacting understanding of materials, proportion, fabrication, and finish.
As a trained metalworker and craftsman, his work grew from individual pieces into the design and construction of whole homes. In 2018, Cam returned to Newport and began developing residential projects with a highly skilled carpentry team. That work became Crockford Construction.
